Each of us has the job of building community in Tolland. We believe that what we want is also desired by a majority of Tolland residents:
- We want the setting and funding priorities focused on maintaining the quality of education for which Tolland has been known, achieved with efficiency.
- We want town leadership to work together as a team in making the right choices, matching financial constraints and top priorities, working beyond differences, seeking better ways to achieve quality education.
- We ask out town leaders, “What can you do to improve the dynamics between the Town Council / Steve Werbner and the Board or Education / Bill Guzman so that the two groups present a unified budget to the town?”
- We want Friends to be informed during the process, participate as they are able, and to exercise their right to vote.
Friends of Tolland Schools is a non-partisan, grassroots group of volunteers working to preserve and enhance the Tolland community and longterm quality of Tolland’s public schools.
