Friends of Tolland Schools Leader
Do you want to commit to really making a difference in your town? Join us!
Your involvement in advocacy projects can be large or small. For example, we add content to our dynamic website on an ongoing basis and are always looking for useful articles and information. We initiate community activities, such as holding town hall style meetings with town officials and school leadership. We cover BOE and TC activities in a variety of ways. A great first step is to attend a town meeting and just listen. Other opportunities including collaborating and supporting PTOs and other community organizations, drafting and distributing information related to important town decisions, communicating with town and school officials, and helping during the voting process.
The Leader Pledge:
“I pledge my involvement in community building in Tolland. My volunteer efforts may span outside of direct FTS involvement, and I will participate in at least one advocacy activity per year.”
Advisory Board
Our Advisory Board is made up of certain residents whose proven leadership and years of volunteer service has furthered the community of Tolland. The Advisory board will meet a minimum of one time per year and at this stage is just developing it’s role.
The Advisory Board Pledge:
